The Global Greens policies are based on the following principles:

Principles

Ecological Wisdom

We recognize that humans are part of the natural world and we respect the specific values of all forms of life, including non-human species.
We acknowledge the wisdom of the world's indigenous peoples as custodians of the land and its resources.

We recognize that human society depends on the ecological resources of the planet, and must ensure the integrity of ecosystems and preserve biodiversity and regeneration capacity of support systems.

This requires
* We learn to live within the limits of the ecological resources of the planet
* That we protect wildlife, flora and life that is sustained by natural elements: earth, water, air and sun
* Where knowledge is limited, we have carefully to ensure plenty of resources on the planet for current and future generations.
Social justice
We assert that the key to social justice is the equitable distribution of social and natural resources, locally and globally, to fit unconditional basic needs of human beings, and to ensure that all citizens have equal opportunities for personal and social development.
We declare that there is no social justice without environmental justice and no environmental justice without social justice.

This requires
* Organization of a just world and a stable world economy which close the widening gap between rich and poor within and between countries, the reverse flow of resources from South to North, and lift the burden of debt on poor countries which prevents their development.
* Poverty eradication, as ethical, social, economic and ecological
* The elimination of illiteracy
* A new vision of citizenship built on equal rights for all individuals regardless of gender, age, race, religion, class, ethnicity or nation, sexual orientation, disability, wealth or health.
Participatory Democracy
Strive for a democracy in which all citizens have the right to express their views and to participate directly in the environmental, economic, and social policies that affect their lives, so that power and responsibility are concentrated in local communities and transferred to an upper level where it is just essential.
This requires

* End inequalities of wealth and power that inhibit participation
* Build grassroots institutions that enable decision making by those directly affected, based on systems which encourage civic vitality, voluntary action and community responsibility

* That in all electoral systems, voting every adult has the same val
* That the whole electoral system is based on proportional representation and all elections are publicly funded with strict limits and full transparency in corporate donations and private
* That all citizens have the right to be a member of the political party of their choice in a multiparty system
Nonviolence
We declare our commitment to nonviolence and a culture we aspire for peace and cooperation between states, within society and between individuals, as the basis of global security.
We believe that safety is not on military strength but on cooperation, on a solid economic and social development, environmental security and respect for human rights.
This requires
* A detailed concept of global security that gives priority to social, economic, ecological, cultural and psychological conflicts rather than rely on military force factors
* A global security system can prevent, manage and resolve conflicts
* Cease the causes of war understanding and respecting other cultures, excising racism and eliminating global poverty
* Insist on general and complete disarmament including international agreements to ensure the complete ban of nuclear weapons, biological and chemical weapons and land mines that use uranium
* Strengthening the UN as a global organization for conflict management and peacekeeping
* Insist on a strict code of conduct on arms exports where human rights are being violated
Sustainability
We recognize the limited space for the material expansion of human society within the biosphere, and the need to maintain biodiversity through the sustainable use of renewable resources and responsible use of nonrenewable resources.
We believe that only through sustainability can provide the needs of current and future generations within the finite resources of the planet. The growth in global consumption, population and material inequity must be halted and reversed.
We recognize that sustainability is not possible while there is poverty.
This requires
* Ensure that the rich limit their consumption to allow the poor their fair share of the earth's resources
* Redefine the concept of wealth focusing on quality of life and not on capacity consumption
* The creation of a global economy in order to meet the needs of all and not the ambition of a few. That allows every human being to find their real needs without jeopardizing the ability of future generations to find their
* Eliminate the causes of population growth by ensuring economic security and providing access to basic education and health for all, giving ample opportunity for men and women control over their fertility

Sustainable Development
* Taxem and implement mechanisms that regulate speculative financial flows
* Ensure that the market price of goods and services fully incorporate the environmental costs of production and consumption
* Ensuring energy sources and more efficient development and use of environmentally sustainable technology
* Encourage the creation of sustainable communities self;
* Recognize the key role of youth culture and encourage a sustainability ethic with that culture
